How to choose between Antalya clinics yourself

Antalya province has 114 verified dental clinics in our dataset, and for a British patient reading marketing pages from home they can look almost identical. The difference between an outstanding result and a disappointing one rarely comes down to price. It comes down to four things you can establish by email before you book anything: who is authorised, who will treat you, what materials go in your mouth, and what happens if something fails after you fly home.

Start with authorisation. An International Health Tourism Authorisation from the Turkish Ministry of Health is not a badge a clinic awards itself: it follows audits of sterilisation, patient safety, record-keeping and clinical governance, and the holders are published. If a clinic cannot give you a number, that is not proof of anything bad — but it does mean you are relying on the clinic's own account of itself rather than the state's.

Then establish who will treat you. Complex work — implants, All-on-4 and All-on-6, full-mouth reconstruction — should be planned and led by a specialist, and you are entitled to know which one. Ask for the name and the specialist registration number, and ask whether the same person will see you through the whole case or whether you will be passed between clinicians. At a larger multi-chair group the answer may well be a strong one too — but you should have the answer before you travel, not after.

Third, pin down the materials. Mainstream implant systems such as Straumann and Nobel Biocare have decades of clinical data behind them, and — just as importantly — a UK dentist can identify and service them years later. Unbranded implants can be very difficult to match once you are home. Insist that the implant brand and the crown or veneer material appear on the written quote, not just in conversation.

Finally, read the guarantee before you commit. A meaningful guarantee is written, specific about what is covered and specific about how long. Vague promises of lifetime cover on everything are less useful than a schedule that distinguishes between treatment types — the way Taki Dent's does, with a lifetime material guarantee on implants, five years on zirconia crowns, bridges and laminate veneers, and two years on composite restorations, covering manufacturing and material defects rather than biological success or a particular aesthetic result.
